Would You Sleep With a Porn Star? No, Like, For Real?

Jenn Tisdale got to do just that, with none other than JAMES DEEN. And then she got to write about it, and then I simply HAD TO ask her some kiss-and-tell Qs about their dirty encounter.

Sit down. I need to ask you a question, and I need you to be honest with me. Would you sleep with a porn star?

Don't roll your eyes -- I'm serious. If the opportunity presented itself, and it was actually, like, within spitting distance of remote possibility, and James Deen, pretty much the planet's hottest dude porn actor EVER ANYWHERE EVER EVER, asked if you wanted to have sex with him, would you turn him down? (If you prefer the ladies, sorry -- feel free to skip this question.)

Don't lie -- it's JAMES DEEN, the industry's favorite "empathetic Jewish boy with a naughty side" who manages to maintain a big feminist cult following (and a rabid lady-following among non-cult, non-feminists to boot).

Anyway, a DC comedian named Jenn Tisdale had that opportunity. (Jealous? A little? Don't blame you.) A couple days ago, Tisdale got kind-of Internet-famous after writing this piece about how, on a lark, she applied to an open casting call on Deen's website. (Deen has a section of his site called "Do a Scene With James," encouraging regular women to apply to, yes, shoot a porn scene with him. Deen then posts the finished amateur videos on his site, though only paid members can watch them, sadly).

Tisdale was shocked when Deen's people asked her to come to New York for a real live shoot with the star. Once she agreed, Deen emailed her, and they began planning their big Sex Date. Read Tisdale's whole story here, watch their seriously NSFW trailer (Tisdale used the stage name "Gwen Derringer," FYI), then read my interview with Tisdale below. See, because I'm a 13-year-old girl in the body of a 36-year-old crone, after reading Tisdale's story, I felt like I desperately required further intimate (ha!) details about how the whole she-bang (HA!) went down (HA HA HA! OK, stopping now).

Tell me: How much jealousy are you experiencing on a scale of 1 to 10? Would YOU follow through on a scene with Deen? (Or another porn star, for that matter?)

EDITOR'S NOTE: An earlier version of this article incorrectly stated that Tisdale didn't get paid for her stint, but she did. Which is a good thing.

xoJane: Did your experience with James live up to your expectations? What were your expectations going into the shoot?

Jenn Tisdale: I wasn't really focused on the shoot. There was a lot of prep to be done ahead of time (STD tests, the telling of things to my mother, the steeling of one's emotions) and I hadn't put much thought into it until I actually got to New York and opened the hotel door.

How much of James' work had you seen before your encounter? Did you consider yourself a fan, or just kind of "meh, he's cool"?

I had never seen him do porn and just happened to catch [him in] "The Canyons" because I have a passing interest in Bret Easton Ellis, and like all folks who enjoy a good car accident, I was dying to see what The Lohan was going to bring to the table. She brought a bunch of dead stares and that was about it.

How did it feel when you first met up with James in NYC? Did you guys flirt, date-style, or just kind of chat/hang out like buddies and then segue into sexytimes? I guess what I'm wondering is how natural and comfortable (vs. odd and surreal) the whole thing felt.

It felt like two people going on their first online date. We had exchanged a bunch of emails. We both knew what the other looked like. He knew I loved "Back to the Future." I knew he did porn. We walked around NYC for a bit, chatted on camera, got some coffee, and sat on the steps of a church (appropriate). I was very comfortable. Honestly, I feel like I cheated a bit, because by the time we got down to the get-down, it was as if I slept with a pal.

How were his kissing skills?

Top-notch.

What were you thinking when you first saw him naked?

I was thinking HOW DO I LOOK WHAT'S GOING ON WITH MY PARTS. Very narcissistic, I know.

Most importantly: how was the sex?  Were you able to enjoy it or were you thinking about the camera the whole time?

I surprised myself by really going for it. I hardly noticed the larger-than-life camera, and I decided long ago never to bang in anyone's shadow. In other words, I gave it my all.

Did James stray at all from what you'd discussed about what you guys would and wouldn't do in bed? Were there any surprises, pleasant or otherwise?

There was no actual plan. I gave him a few don'ts ahead of time: Don't come on my face, don't skull-f*ck me, don't slap me around. Other than that, I was hoping to keep it slightly comedic and as natural as possible ... if such a thing can happen in porn.

Have you and James kept in touch since the shoot?

We have. He is a delightful person. It's easy to want to say "he's great for a porn star," as if they are some alien race. He's actually great for a human.

Any additional thoughts/reflections/funny stuff you didn't get a chance to share in your other story?

Yes! A hot porn tip I learned: If you're on your period, go to Whole Foods, buy a natural sponge, boil it, then let it cool, [stick it up there] and have at it!
