Is there a good way to say goodbye to a job and community that I love?

I'm loyal to a fault. I love my current job. It's challenging, fun, and in a field that I love, but it doesn't pay me much. Honestly, I'm well below the poverty line. I was recently approached out of the blue about another position that is in a city where I used to live and would love to return to, in a field that I love, doing work that I love. It would pay at least 2.5 times my current salary. The catch is I'd have to start at a time when it's TERRIBLE for me to leave my current job. If I could delay starting 4 months it would work perfectly. I don't want to say no to this new opportunity, but am feeling an immense amount of guilt about leaving prematurely. It's not about references. I could leave this job off of my resume for the rest of my life and be totally fine. It's about relationships. Is there a good way to say goodbye to a job and community that I love?
