This wasn't written about me (so far as I know). But as someone who's received a lot of this type of workout "encouragement" over the years, I have a response anyway.
food
The FDA is proposing some controversial changes to that familiar "nutrition facts" label, like accounting for the fact that NO ONE eats just a half-cup of ice cream. Are you into it?

I feel certain that my doctor did not prescribe me Topamax for its possible weight loss side effects, but that small mention stuck with me as the hardest to process, because it comes with the most baggage.

dear kates
I was skeptical when I saw the size chart and the price tag. (But then I got 25% off.)

Fat women of color, women with guts, women with flat butts or flat chests, women with double chins -- these women are rarely represented by anyone, still.

I filmed myself and put the videos on YouTube in a series called “A Fat Girl Dancing.” Suddenly, one of my videos went viral and my inbox exploded.
obesity panic
Surprise, the media coverage of a new obesity study is misleading and inaccurate and I'm explaining why.

Note to the producers of "Archer": Put Pam Poovey back, or so help me I will come drown you one by one in a bathtub of green Russians.
fat
Be warned, this post is about fat-shaming and weight loss, and it includes specific discussions about weight. (On the other hand, read on if you've been dying to know how much I weigh.)
plus size

New research looks at the connections between obesity and economics, and big surprise, it turns out things are more complicated than just "personal responsibility" and "eating too much."
current tv
jezebel
There is nothing people like more than reading obviously fabricated bullshit about a fat person attempting to travel from place to place on a plane.

There's no evidence that BAIBA is a "cure" for diabetes or obesity, which, it should be noted, the researchers didn't claim, because scientists tend to err toward the conservative. Journalists took care of that for them, though.

A UK hospital is teaching its employees to be more sensitive to their fat patients by making them wear a fat suit. Unfortunately this noble effort undertaken in the best of intentions is totally freaking misguided and rooted in the same assumptions that cause problems in the first place.
insurance
Contrary to popular belief, fatness does NOT automatically imply poor health and should not be a discriminating factor to consider when supplying a person with insurance anyway.
gwynnie bee
If wearing clothes other people have worn doesn't skeeve you, Gwynnie Bee is way more awesome than anticipated. Especially since sizing across brands is ridiculous.

I’m not a passenger. I’m a burden and a problem to solve, like an overstuffed suitcase.

Those of you who don't work at home in a dark cave of loneliness are probably shopping for dresses for holiday parties, right? PLEASE TELL ME ABOUT WHAT LIFE IS LIKE OUTSIDE.
