I wish on first stars, wish when the clock hits 11:11, wish while blowing dandelions and birthday candles and when I find four-leaf clovers, what else? I am definitely a believer. I take the wishes seriously and always know that if I close my eyes and can transport myself into the future, and truly see and feel the wish being true, that it will happen. Then there are those times that I can't quite see it and know, unfortunately but actually fortunately, that it won't come true as much as I might think that I want it at that moment.
I have known all this since I was three, so I'm sure it is no great revelation to you either, but it is what I was thinking about today as I didn't sit down (standing at a table currently, with tomato soup daringly to the right of my little airbook) to write this for ya.
Now about you.
I want this open thread to be absolutely drenched in positivity for you. What goals are you so close to accomplishing that you can taste them? What do they taste like – Strawberry Pop Tarts? Kentucky Rose? Adrenaline?
If you are contractually obligated to be cryptic about your goal-setting like someone we all know currently tapping away at her still-tomato-free keyboard, here are some other questions (some goal-ish in nature, some not) you can answer or ignore or use to catapult yourself into a conversation with each other:
If you only had 24 hours to spend there, what city would you visit?
Are you where you dreamed you would be, career-wise, when you were younger? Relationship-wise?
Any baby names you've heard recently and found particularly trendy or archaic?
What’s one goal you’re dying to accomplish this year?
Do you believe psychoanalysis works?
What movie are you dying to see?
Do you have any secret remedies for allergy season?
What did or will you spend your tax return on?
And, as always, feel free to tell each other any little or big thing you are doing or grappling with at the moment, and get ready to have some stimulating fun with each other below (did that sound sexual to you?).
