Every comment is a brick in the bridge to whatever comes next for us.
There's been a lot of arguing in the news this week -- celebrities have done it via Twitter, news pundits have yelled over each other, and everyone is calling out Donald Trump, which is probably exactly what he wants. Peruse these six (chock full of contention) news stories that we didn't write about this week, but that I'm positive you'll have an interesting thing or two to say about:
A (verbal) fight broke out on CNN over the legitimacy of Sandra Bland's arrest. [Raw Story]
After Ed Sheeran and Katy Perry weighed in, Nicki Minaj and Taylor Swift have settled their beef. [Jezebel]
President Obama appeared on The Daily Show to discuss the Iran Deal. [Buzzfeed]
Spelman College revoked Bill Cosby's professorship. [BBC]
The RNC condemned Donald Trump's comment on John McCain's war hero status. [Daily Mail]
WWE fired Hulk Hogan after audio surfaced featuring the ex-wrestler making vulgar and racist statements. [The Guardian]
Add your voice to the conversation in the comments and, if you care, metaphorically don your VMA feud team jersey (even out-of-left-field Camilla Belle fans are welcome with open arms).
P.S. It doesn't really fit with the theme of this column, but I can't sign off without saying that if I could recommend just one article worth reading this week, it would be the wonderful Roxane Gay's NYT editorial yesterday. Here it is in case you missed it. Xo
