I'm talking about those garments that you know you'll have forever.

I really love clothes. Naturally, I mean, I'm your faithful leader of a weekly article about outfits! But I truly love getting dressed and collecting clothes that help me transform into someone new every day.

Finding beautiful, well-made, conversation-starting pieces is my mission whenever I enter a store, and I know I have pieces in my wardrobe that I'll be able to wear, time and time again, because they will span the years with their versatility and classic stylishness.

Particularly, that can be said about my recently acquired (as a birthday gift from my ma) vintage Burberry trench coat. It's a design they've been selling for a century, classic in every way, wearable over any outfit and versatile through the seasons thanks to its removable wool lining.

My jacket in particular is probably about as old as me, but I know it will stand the test of time over many years thanks to its clean lines and craftsmanship.

All bundled up.

All bundled up.

Are there any pieces in your wardrobe you can see yourself wearing 10, 20 years from now? Show me!

In the meantime, let's get inspired by some of the outfits you shared last week.

misssincerely's newly purchased Topshop leather jacket is definitely an item I think qualifies in the "classics" category, as are those white Chucks. So good.

I also really loved Buttercup Rocks' cool-toned look, full of turquoise and navy and topped off with that great sequined statement blouse, which depicts how I feel most days.
