Believe it or not, sometimes the fashion industry takes a pause from being all “everybody should be cool and skinny!!!!” to being all “hey, let’s put down our Starbucks and stop frowning for a minute to do something kinda funny!!” I’m here to cure your post holiday angry-sads and bring you some of my favorite funny fashion videos from 2014. Let the lols commence.
“I’m going to block Amanda because she only likes me when I’m sad” -- RAISE A HAND IF THIS IS YOU. My New Year’s resolutions are to watch Dirty Dancing Havana Nights in bed while crying only twice per week, and kill that bug that’s been trapped under a bowl in my living room for two weeks.
Kate Spade's “The Waiting Game,” Starring Anna Kendrick
Carrying a hundred shopping bags in New York isn’t really a thing (unless you enjoy getting bumped into and knocked across the street), but I kind of wish it was because it looks cool. I would also like to point out that if I got locked out of my apartment there would be less cute outfit changes and more crying and calling my landlord. But hey, Anna Kendrick is amazing and can make anything seem realistic or charming.
NET-A-PORTER.COM | On the Road: Poppy Delevingne and Alexa Chung
If I ever saw Poppy Delevingne (Cara’s sister) and Alexa Chung (hey girl, I love your eyeliner!!) chatting over drinks and being all cool and pretty, I would eavesdrop so hard. This video is like a free pass for being nosy and pretending you’re a part of the conversation. “Oh yeah went to Italy last summer too and definitely didn’t stay at my parent’s house in New Jersey eating tuna subs for three months haha…”
Jimmy Kimmel Lie Witness News – New York Fashion 2014
JIMMY KIMMEL LIE WITNESS NEWS GIVES ME LIFE. Listen. If you are in New York and a camera crew asks for your opinion on anything, do not lie. It’s a trap.
Sh*t LITTLE Fashion Girls Say ft. Princesstard as P’Trique
Fans of Sh*t Fashion Girls Say or children of the '90s/early ’00s will appreciate this one. Back in the day, I was two Claire’s bracelets away from being a black P’Trique mini-me.
I hope you guys got a laugh out of these videos, because they helped me crack a smile in the midst of my “Nooooooo Christmas is over!!!” depression. Were there any videos that squeezed a chuckle out of you this year? I would also appreciate reminders of some YouTube classics.
