I basically called my mom for help. Except when I say mom, I mean an esthetician.
Beauty editors are very much do-as-I-say-not-as-I-do types. My brain may be a deep well of beauty secrets, and I may have a witty way of disclosing those morsels, but I don't have the time, money or memory to put them all to use for myself. And as Annie has said, "It’s OK to not have a normal skincare routine! You’re not a bad person! You’re not irresponsible!" Wise beyond her years, that one.
I'm really diligent about facial skincare, but I tend to be absentminded about my body. I am sooooo forgetful about using body lotion. I tried keeping it on the edge of the tiny sink in my tiny bathroom so I'd see it and remember to use it as soon as I get out of the shower, but after I knocked it off said sink and onto my older dog's head (he likes to steam on the bath mat), I decided that was a bad idea.
Deciding that was a bad idea was also a bad idea, because by the time I'd remember to apply it, I'd be fully dressed. (Am I the only person who can't read the words "fully dressed" without thinking "without a smile"?) Disrobing just to apply lotion and wait for it to dry enough for me to put my clothing back on is a time-sucking pain in the ass, and even if I'm wearing a skirt, putting it on my legs and immediately heading out into the heat is not appealing to me.
So my solution is this:
That's Vaseline Spray & Go Moisturizer. It says right on the can: "moisturizes in seconds so you can put your clothes right on."
And it's true! You just spray it all over yourself, do a quick rub-in, and What moisturizer? I just have super-smooth skin!
On days I actually remember to use it, it doesn't take up nearly as much application and waiting-to-dry time as lotion does.
So how about you? Quick Question: What's your favorite time-saving beauty product?
Also, do any of you have Spray & Go Moisturizer? If so, does yours make a high-pitched whistle sound when it sprays? Where do you think I should put it to remember to put it on more often?
