Quick Question

Scent is a powerful thing, my friends. (Are we friends? I feel like we're friends. But please don't just show up at my place.) We've talked about this before, mostly within the margins of perfume; but any product with a fragrance can instantly remind you of some other place and time in your life.

A notable recent example for me: I had some serious déjà vu when I smelled Agave Oil Treatment. I was using it to smooth my frizz the other day, and upon inhaling its sweet piña colada scent, I was suddenly nine years old.

Allow me to clarify: I was not drinking at nine. I was, however, using Vavoom! shampoo and conditioner, which smelled exactly like this oil.

If you weren't around in the late '80s and early '90s (or you just weren't paying attention, or you weren't yet capable of paying attention), here's an awesome Vavoom! commercial for your viewing pleasure.

Man, I really hope one of you wins that 1991 Jeep Wrangler.

Apparently, Vavoom! (there's really no need to italicize that--I just feel it's appropriate, especially after seeing that commercial) is still being made by Matrix, but only as finishing products; no shampoo and conditioner, which is a bummer, because I'd totally buy it.

The Agave Oil Treatment definitely merits regular use based on its performance, but I kind of love feeling flung back in time whenever I apply it.

So, today's Quick Question: What product's scent gives you déjà vu?
