[Ever since I met Courteney at an Italian restaurant in Laurel Canyon 15 years ago and she filled in my eyebrows at the dinner table with a No. 2 charcoal art pencil from her bag (which works brilliantly for any coloring, by the way), I've been getting all my best home and beauty tips from this girl. Now she's going to be giving them to you. ]

1. Clairol Natural Instincts Brass-Free For Brunettes, $8.99 at Walgreens.com

For dark-haired girls who don't like red hues coming through, I use Clairol Natural Instincts Brass-Free For Brunettes. It lasts about 28 days, but only costs $9.00.

2. Edward Bess Makeup

I'm really into Edward Bess Makeup. I recently was in a hurry, as usual, and popped into Neiman Marcus where I had my makeup put on by the salesperson at the Edward Bess counter. I bought everything she put on me. The two eye shadow palettes (Ultra-Luminous Eye Shadow, $30, NeimanMarcus.com) they sell are pretty much all you ever need. Great compact base as well (Sheer Satin Compact Cream, $60, NeimanMarcus.com).
