What I Do, Job-wise: Features Editor at For Books' Sake; editing, feature writing, interviewing, reviewing and unrestrained ranting when I get the chance. During the day I work as a Publishing Assistant and attempt to convert the whole office to feminism via a selection of tasteful hair bows, oversized jumpers and diatribes against the patriarchy.

What I Do, Fun-wise: Caffeinate, knit gloriously misshapen jumpers, ride my bike, collect old Virago paperbacks, spend time with men with beards and women with lots of eyeliner.

My Motto: Be nice to yourself.

My Anti-Motto: "It's the best time of your life" - whatever situation you apply this to you are basically telling that child/teenager/miserable person you are trying to cheer up that it's never going to get better.

The First Movie Star I Ever Had A Crush On: Robert Donat in The 39 Steps, first and only.

Lady-crush Literary List: Muriel Spark, Dorothy Parker, Shirley Jackson, Angela Carter, Charlotte Roche, Carson McCullers, Irene Nemirovsky, Charlotte and Anne Bronte (soz Emily) and Jane Austen.

The Most Played Song On My iTunes: Nothing To Be Done by The Pastels and No One's Little Girl by The Raincoats.

Last Book I Read Without Skimming Any Parts: All of them, it's a curse.

My Most Worn Item of Clothing: Ox-blood Dr Martens, leopard print tights and a gold B necklace.

Beauty Products That I Hoard: Anne French, all the women in my family use it and have beautiful skin but I've never met anyone else who uses it, ergo living in fear it will be discontinued.

I smell like: Coffee and Cocoa Butter.
