Anya Strzemien grew up on a steady diet of Sassy, which inspired her to produce a 'zine called Love for two years. That was before there was a hip British fashion magazine by the same title. Love was never featured as Sassy’s “’Zine Of The Month” despite multiple attempts, but that’s water under the bridge now.
A college degree from Barnard and several magazines—including Esquire, Budget Living, Look (Entertainment Weekly), and LIFE—later, she was hired to launch lifestyle content at The Huffington Post.
The highlight of her four years there was probably the revelation that Sarah Palin had spent $150,000 on a single shopping spree. Or maybe just Sarah Palin in general. Tough call.
