I am in a super cleaning, organizing, out-with-the-old mode, for the first time in my life that I can remember. Women are supposed to get that urge, some nesting instinct, when they are pregnant, but that never happened to me. So for whatever reasons, I am crazy organizing my apartment today and just came upon this: a resume and clips submitted by job applicant (at that time, the site was being called janepratt.com) Ms. Emily Mccombs! There is a beauty in accumulating stuff in some disorganized fashion in that you get to stumble upon it unexpectedly and be flooded with happy memories. Which is what happened when I opened this binder. (It is not so much fun when you are trying to find your kid's birth certificate for the millionth time, by the way.)
Anyway, I wanted to take this moment to say how much I love and appreciate Emily every day and if you want to chime in with what you love about her here too, feel free. She is one of a kind and I'm so lucky to know and work with her. And do you know that it was after saying a little prayer about what kind of person I wanted to work with that she came to work here? And now a day a little prayer every day that she works here. I know I'm being redundant but lots of love and appreciation feelings around this and typing on phone without rereading so apologies.
Also, do you want to see this early layout of the site with my notes all over it that I just unearthed from a bag full of old receipts and lip stuff? Or not? I love you too.
