Find out what goes down when Jane Pratt's in London!

Rebecca here! If you couldn't tell from my hungover tweets this morning, last night was the xoJane UK launch party. Jane was in town for the event (I always get far too overexcited when the lovely Ms Pratt is in London, even without the addition of copious amounts of alcohol), and it was by far the most fun, entertaining, buzzing launch I've been to in a long time (but then, I am biased).

While the evening is still fresh (ish) in our minds, here's what went down when Jane Pratt came to London. I'm going to hand over to Phoebe now as she remembers more of it than I do...

Could it be magic, Jane?

What we wore:

Earlier this week we headed over to Juno Says Hello, where founder Rebecca Rose helped us pick out a vintage dress each for the party. I chose a 1950s chiffon prom dress which I wore with dark green suede peep-toe heels from TK Maxx.

After rummaging through rails of beautiful vintage dresses I went with this 1950s chiffon number

Rebecca fell for a black and pink lace shift (very Mad Med) which she wore with her trusty black Russell & Bromley snakeskin courts.

Me and Rebecca trying on various options - I thought R looked a bit like a jazzy nun in this pink n white number...

And of course our amazing Tatty Devine xoJaneUK necklaces!

We got our hair done at The Blow Bar in Angel – a chic little space tucked between vintage boutiques on Camden Passage where all they do is blow dry hair – in and out in half an hour, perfect.

Because I am growing out my stupid fringe, I wore it slightly quiffed with the rest of my hair loosely curled, while Rebecca had an amazing beehive to match her ‘60s-style dress.

The venue:

Our venue, chic underground speakeasy The Lucky Pig was given an xoJane makeover, complete with a photo area (and lots of props) and our very own cocktails: The Editrix (Rebecca's choice, with dark rum and ginger ale), The Bluestocking (mine - a twist on a Gin Fizz), The Token Male and the Jane.

Go team!

The Music:

There was only one rule for the DJs: music must be by women only. So me and my two trusty lieutentants got the crowd dancing with Madonna, Le Tigre, Pat Benatar, Stevie Nicks, Lady Gaga and - of course - Hole.
