The only person I care about bringing to the beach is Jennifer Weiner.

I LOVE books. I LIVE for books. No matter what happens in my life, as long as I can still read books, I know I'll be OK and that my life will be worth living. This is seriously how I feel. I'm also passionate about going to the beach in the summer. Soaking up the sun and reading a book is my Absolute #1 Favorite Thing On Earth. So let's talk about our favorite beach reads and whatever that might mean to you.

I'll go first! I'm a huge sucker for anything by Marian Keyes or Jennifer Weiner for light summer reads. I love my Jennifer Weiner books so much, my man refers to them as my "Jenny Weenies." I'm currently reading Lauren Weisberger's sequel to "The Devil Wears Prada," "Revenge Wears Prada: The Devil Returns" -- Emily and I are sharing the copy and she is patiently waiting for me to finish.

I also love thrillers and mysteries at the beach, anything by Stephen King or Charlaine Harris comes to mind. Also, get ready for a huge "duh," but I'm definitely including "Gone Girl" here -- I can't stress it enough as the Ultimate Beach Read. I just finished "The Shining Girls," which was supposed to be "the next "Gone Girl."" Not so, but read it anyway.

Tell me: What did you read at the beach last year? What are you so excited to read this year (or re-read)? Go!
