Last night after work (and after sampling this week's Drinking At The Office beverage) Julie, Olivia, and I headed to a screening of The Five Year Engagement. It was good. Really good.

Written by Jason Segel and produced by Judd Apatow, The Five Year Engagement stars Jason Segel and Emily Blunt as  Tom and Violet, a couple that has been engaged for way too long. And that is the premise of the film: will they ever actually tie the knot? Olivia is in love with Jason Segel, so she was rooting for them to break up the whole time. (Olivia! This isn't real life!)

I don't want to say too much here, mostly just "please see it!" It's for your own good. I was yelling with laughter at some points, just ask poor Julie, who had to sit next to me.

I must also mention that Chris Pratt and Alison Brie play supporting roles in the film as Tom's BFF and Violet's sister, respectively. They're beyond perfect, and hold it down as a solidly funny pair during the film's ups and downs.

We had a really great time, and we want you to go too. That's why we're giving one US-based winner a  $25 Visa cash card for a “Night at the Movies”  and one of these Five-Year Engagement cosmetic bags filled with lip shine, nail files, an eye mask, a brush/mirror, and a silly faux engagement ring (Olivia and I have been wearing ours all week).
