Would I have to start planning outfits around the tattoo like I plan for weather?
Okay, I know it’s not even Halloween yet, but (don’t shoot me for saying this) it’s definitely not too early to start thinking about your Holiday Shopping List. Why not get all of your gifts purchased in the next couple of weeks? That way you can enjoy all of your fabulous holiday parties without worrying about having to get up early the next morning to hit the mall. Nothing is more excruciating than shopping with the masses while nursing a, um, “headache,” if you know what I mean.
When it comes to gifts, I’m a big fan of giving my friends and family something distinct and special, something they definitely would never buy for themselves. Which is why I love buying my friends gifts from Etsy.
As I’m sure you already know, there are about five hundred million things to love about Etsy. It’s the ultimate destination for gifts that are unique and creative. Plus, you’re buying directly from the makers and collectors on Etsy, so you’re also supporting an artist or small business. I don’t know about you, but to me, that feels a whole lot better than spending my money at some mass chain store.
And Etsy isn’t just handmade goods. I mean, yes, there is tons of stuff that is handcrafted and amazing (and can be personalized, to boot), but there are also vintage finds to die for. Is there a photographer on your list? Get her a vintage camera. A chef with girlie flair? These retro aprons almost make me wish I knew how to cook. (Almost.) Clocks, jewelry, art, and more. If you know someone whose style is inspired by the past, there’s definitely something at Etsy she’ll love.
Even better? If you’re not sure what she’ll love, you don’t have to decide. Etsy now has Gift Cards! Just choose an amount from $25.00 to $250.00 and select whether you want to email it directly or print it out at home. Either way, you’re guaranteed to put a smile on her face because, let’s be real: who doesn’t like free shopping?
Oh, but that’s not the best part.
The best part is that if you leave a comment sharing what Etsy treasure you would like to find under the tree, you'll be automatically entered to WIN A $250 ETSY GIFT CARD.
Entries are accepted until next Wednesday, October 31, 2012, at 11:59 p.m. ET and we'll announce the winner shortly after that. But even if you don't win, don't fret. Because if you purchase an Etsy Gift Card before November 14th, you’ll be automatically entered to win a $250 Gift Card. And if you win, you can spend every penny on yourself. I won't tell.
Just in case you win and want to spend it on me, here are a few things I’m obsessed with:
Anne of Avonlea, First Edition 1909, $450.00 (DO YOU DIE?)
Personalized Note Cards, Set of 8, $20.00 (And yes, I like this particular one because it has a daisy on it, but there are tons and tons to choose from.)
Fairy Tale Art, 8x10 Print, $10.00 (I’m obsessed with Children’s Literature. I would love to hang three of these from different fairy tales in my office.)
Now what are you waiting for? Leave a comment with the item from Etsy that's on your Wish List and maybe you'll win a $250 Gift Card!
Thank you to Etsy for sponsoring this post.
