Would I have to start planning outfits around the tattoo like I plan for weather?
It’s September, so that means fall is just around the corner! As sad as I am to see the summer go, I’m PUMPED about all the fall collections that come out around this time. Especially the Fall Bath and Body Works collection!
I first discovered Bath and Body Works when I was working retail in a VERY busy mall. My co-workers and I would keep each other apprised when there were sales on in the mall, and Bath and Body Works always seemed to have them.
While working retail, I wasn’t making much money so basically anything I bought had to be on sale. I love candles, but I’m not about to spend $100+ for a luxury one since I also need to eat… and pay my student loans (for the rest of my life).
The first time I went in, I was looking for something Halloween-themed like a little Frankenstein. I love anything Halloween-related, so I got distracted by all of the pumpkin candles on the way in. I smelled ALL of the pumpkin candles. I seriously love Halloween. I wish I could wear my spider web tights all year round.
There was a crazy good deal on the candles that day -- buy two 3-wick candles and get 2 free, so I stocked up. And now I’ve become obsessed with these candles and I make sure to stock up every fall on candles and the Marshmallow Pumpkin Latte shower gel. (All of the candles also come in mini-versions, which are $4.50 each or 3 for $12.)
Out of all of my favorite things from this collection I’ve narrowed down my top 5 favorite candles and I’ll tell you why… well it’s mostly because they all smell like you could eat them. Let’s get real.
1. Pumpkin Caramel Latte
This one smells like spiced caramel, sweet cream and creamy pumpkin. It basically smells like a sweeter and creamier version of a pumpkin spiced latte, but with caramel on top. You won’t be able to find this in your average Bath and body store, though. Apparently this year this is just exclusive to White Barn.
2. Caramel Pumpkin Swirl
This candle basically smells like you’re baking a pumpkin spiced cinnamon cake with buttery caramel. I’ve actually had someone ask me what I was baking when I was burning this. Sorry to disappoint you friend, there’s no delicious snack baking in here! It’s just a candle.
3. Pumpkin Carving
This one really reminds me of fall. It smells like the Halloween decorations my mom brings out at her place every year (yeah, I don’t know why they have a scent to them, but they smell awesome). It’s the most like a pumpkin scent, with a blend of fresh pumpkin, brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg and vanilla.
4. Sweet Cinnamon Pumpkin
This candle is the lightest smelling of the bunch, but it still gives off a sweet pumpkin smell. It has a combination of pumpkin, vanilla cream and spicy cinnamon. This would be best for someone who wants a fall-scented candle, but doesn’t want it to be too overwhelming. I think the lack of caramel in this one is what makes it lighter.
5. Cider Lane
Alright, this is my favorite candle OF ALL TIME. It smells like cinnamon apple cider infused with caramel. ITS JUST SO GOOD. UGH.
I wasn’t going to include this one because APPARENTLY they’re not releasing it this year… (I’m legit heartbroken) but I seriously can’t find another one that I love as much as this!
I ventured into my local Bath and Body to try and find a dupe and the closest thing to it right now is “Golden Cinnamon.” I think the biggest difference between the two is that it doesn’t have that caramel undertone to it that really makes me love it. (But IMO Golden Cinnamon is still worth the buy… it still smells delicious).
Don’t worry, though. All hope is not lost if you want the original! You can still find it on Amazon OR eBay (Yeah, I checked.) Bottom line is if you are ever lucky enough to come across this, you HAVE to get it. Seriously. It I’ve already written to Bath and Body Works begging for it to come back. Let’s hope it works!
What scents are you most looking forward to this Fall? Have you smelt Cider Lane? Have you found any dupes for it? TELL MEEE. I NEED TO KNOW.
