Everything about Halloween makes me ridiculously happy, even though I don't have a costume yet (and I'm attending a costume WEDDING this year!) and I never get trick-or-treaters.
The first Halloween I had my own apartment, I went to the carnival supply and spent like $200 on spiders, skulls rings bendy witches and candy, only to get ONE little goblin at the door.
POOR ME! POOR ME! Pour me another spiced cider while I wait in line for a haunted house I'm going to chicken out of navigating! Seriously, I'm a total scaredy cat with those things.
BUT, I've picked out few awesome Halloween projects for you from around the Black Hole that is the Internet. Just click through to details and instructions.
Let's start with yummy treats:
Ugh, those lovable faces! I've never personally made my own suckers, but this may be thing that pushes me over that candy-making edge.
Sweetest ever. OMG. Worth the little meticulous parts.
Chocolate-covered strawberries are so simple and decadently delicious. How much would everybody love you if you bought these around to your Halloween parties?
This is the kind of thing I like to make out of sheer nerdom. C'mon, they're AWESOME.
How about a fabulously easy Halloween decoration to make that you'll want to display year-round?:
I'm all about recycling jars (and tons of other stuff), and the possiblities with this project are limitless. Great host/hostess gifts with a nolstagic feel, too. Love.
I promised you something to wear, right?:
This is more in the Everyday-Is-Halloween vein, but Mama Maria, do I ever have to try this! Safety pin art, YAY.
Last and the opposite of least, your Official xoJane JANE-O-LANTERN STENCIL:
I want to see your Jane-o-lanterns! Please send pics to Rachel@xoJane.com! Let's get a gallery going. XO
Also, let me know who should be next in the xoJane Celebrity Pumpkin Stencil Series! EMILY? CAT??
And tell me all about your costumes and Halloween plans in the comments!
