OUTFIT OF THE WEEK: A Pattern Of Prints

I just want everything covered in strange repeating images lately, OK?

There seemed to be a pattern with my personal style this week, and that pattern was, well ... patterns.

It started Sunday when my friend (and crazy-talented designer) Hayley Elsaesser came over to shoot some fun promo photos featuring looks from her two most recent collections. Hayley's prints are a hallmark of her designs, and I was thrilled to wear her clothes. They're bright and unique but still incredibly comfy, leaving you feeling so relaxed and cool when you're wearing them.

Later in the week I ended up going on a thrifting adventure with my boyfriend and I picked up a lot of incredible pieces. A favourite? This vintage cotton skirt (with original tags still on) with buttons down the front and a graphic airplane print all over.

I did some print-mixing by pairing it with a black and white striped tank top for a super breezy warm Spring outfit. I'm so obsessed with button-front skirts lately, and I'm glad to see that they seem to be a huge trend this season.

Now, let's take a peek at what you fine folks wore this past week.

I loved Natalie's pink dress (covered in a print, of course), and the green cardigan she paired it with. The colour combination had me thinking of fresh strawberries which are just one of the many wonderful things about summer.

Also, how great are RinnyLush and her dude in their Mad Max-themed outfits? Who's excited to see the remake (/revival?)?

  • If you could take the wardrobe from any upcoming Summer movie, what would you pick?
  • Have you been wearing any fun prints lately?
