You guys make me realize I should be better prepared.

So this week wasn't totally fun to get dressed in, at least not here in Toronto. I mean, I always have fun getting dressed, but I didn't feel like I could be my summery self thanks to the crummy weather forecast I was given at the beginning of the week.

I mean, on Wednesday I wore tights. TIGHTS. In July! And, even though my iPhone told me there was a 40% chance of a thunderstorm, I let the sunshine outside lead me out without an umbrella and, two hours later, ended up soaked to the bone and paying $16 for an emergency umbrella in the nearest drugstore I could find. What a burn on me.

Then as I was scrolling back through your photos to write this week's post, I noticed commenter PonyRemark's incredibly adorable rain ensemble.

The blue and yellow of the jacket is giving me serious Paddington Bear meets Morton's Salt girl vibes, which is a look I think everyone should go for when combating damp weather. And I can see a hint of braided pigtails peeking out from the top of this photo, which leads me to believe that from the top of your head to the soles of your feet, you were looking cute as hell that day, PonyRemark. And your weather-appropriate wear will serve as a reminder for me to always carry my new umbrella with me. It may have been stupidly priced but it's extremely tiny, so that's good.

Maybe I need to pick up an actual rainjacket too, like this one from ASOS. The description says it's showerproof, so you can wash your hair in it too! But jeez, then there's this crazy-mod one. So many options.

On the other end of weather world, we have a commenter dressing for the hot weather I dream of. Pegah S, who posted her outfit from a "bohemian" wedding she attended.

The dress has a simple slip-like shape that makes me think it's probably the comfiest thing in the world, but the cut-out details give it a hit of elegance. And I love the upper arm bracelet. I am crazy about details after all. And hey, with 365 upvotes at the time of writing this, it seems a lot of you guys liked Pegah S's look too. Way to go, stylish one!

How has the weather been where you are? Have you been wearing as little clothing as possible to beat the heat or are you pulling on the layers? Show me your (semi-)clothed selves! The central air in my apartment has me wearing a wool pullover right now. Kind of nuts.
