I Tried Pink Circle Lenses And They're Actually Quite Subtle

Popularized in Asia, circle lenses are a type of contact lens designed to make your eyes look bigger. Personally, I love them. I’m into the whole anime vibe (with subtlety) and what else can give you Sailor Moon eyes if not a circle lens?

My current favorite in lens wear happens to come in my love of loves, the color pink. I got them from Pinky Paradise for $29.

Pink eyes, you say? Won't that look sickly and horrible?

To me, pink lenses look natural yet eerie, subtle yet slightly unnerving, and basically all the things I aspire to be in life.

I like that they give the eyes just that tiny glaze of pink, without being overwhelming.

On the downside, I also think the pink can make you look kind of tired, but in an ethereal, whimsical kind of way.

But since my under-eye circles tend to make me look tired anyway, I might as well run with it. In case you wanted to see them in motion, I’m also wearing them here.

Comfort-wise, nothing can beat my 1 Day Acuvue Moist Dailies, but these are a nice change when I know I won't be wearing them for a long time.

Personally, I only like to wear circle lenses for two to four hours, as they can be more drying than regular contacts. As with all lenses, make sure you check with your optometrist first before taking the plunge.
