I’ve been using a bunch of them in tandem for the last couple of months, I’ve seen results, and now I’m going to tell you about my favorites because I am an angel sent from heaven.

People can think whatever they want about me, as long as they think I have good skin. When I die, that’s what I want my legacy to be. They will stand at my funeral, as they pour my ashes into a bottle of Curious by Britney Spears, and say, “He was a complete monster, but damn, his skin was flawless.”

So if you haven’t noticed, it’s summer, which is great. Do you guys switch up your skin care routine in the warmer months? I’d say that I do, but the truth is I’m always switching up my skin regime to try the newest skincare products. For me, it’s less seasonally, and more monthly, just to see what’s out there and what’s worth telling you guys about.

A lot of products that have been released so far this year are all about speeding up cell turnover, which in turn speeds up skin regeneration. Basically, you’ll have newer skin faster. This means brighter skin, less dullness, increased elasticity, and better skin all around. I’ve been using a bunch of them in tandem for the last couple of months, I’ve seen results, and now I’m going to tell you about my favorites because I am an angel sent from heaven.

Origins Original Skin Renewal Serum with Willowherb, $39.

The Origins Skin Renewal Serum all about knocking out dullness and restoring skin’s natural glow. This product is great for people of all ages and provides noticeable results, fast.

The serum is formulated with chestnut seed extract, which is known for its skin refining properties that accelerate skin cell turnover. Faster turnover eliminates dullness and makes skin look brighter because, well, it’s new skin! Pair that with the nutrient rich algae that helps balance and regulate skin’s sebum production. This minimizes the appearance of pores, making them appear smaller.

The serum is thicker than your typical liquid serum, actually feeling like more of a gel. It has a pleasant citrusy, herbaceous scent, kind of like some $16 gin and grapefruit bullshit craft cocktail, but for your face. I love it. Oh, it travels well, too. Most serums come in glass bottles which would never survive a weekend trip, but I've been taking this everywhere with me.

Peter Thomas Roth Brightening Bubbling Mask, $55.

This brightening mask is like its own little science experiment and I am obsessed with it. One secret to all-around better looking skin, no matter what your main concern is, is oxygen. When your skin can breathe, it looks brighter, more even, and more perfected. This bubbling mask is a quick way to oxygenate your skin and literally breathe new life into it.

When applied, the mask turns from a blue gel to a white foam as oxygen is released into your skin. Bearberry extract, mulberry, and licorice help to even skin tone and combat discoloration. As the mask bubbles, it carries oxygen and antioxidants deep into the skin, which help reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, and makes your skin took more luminous.

When I rinsed off the mask, my skin looked rosy, fresh, and glowy, like I had just climaxed (#AfterSexSelfie.) The results were immediate, and I’m loving the mask even more with every use.

Eve Lom Brightening Cream, $110.

This shit is so good that don’t I don’t even use it everyday because I’m afraid of running out of it.

It’s lightweight, feels great on skin, leaves your face with a soft, glowy finish that’s great on its own or as a beautiful base for your makeup, and can be used in conjunction with any of the product above.

The brightening claims don’t stop at how this cream looks on your skin, though. It’s formulated with Dermapep, a powerful brightening peptide that actually blocks the production of excess melanin and brightens skin 20 times better than other brightening agents. This doesn’t mean that your skin is going to get any lighter, but it helps even skin to its natural tone and protect against discoloration, dark spots, and hyperpigmentation.

The cream is packed with rose otto oil and aloe to be calming and hydrating, while betaine reduces inflammation, plumps skin, and soothes fine lines. After continued wear, skin looks plumped, smoother, and more radiant. I’d wear this cream every day solely for how gorgeous it looks on the skin, but the long-term benefits are what really sell me.

The finish of this cream on your skin is incredible. It’s the kind of diffused, candle lit glow that I’m always want to achieve. Remember how good Kanye's skin looked during Fashion Week? No? Just me? Well, this product helps you come close to that.

Clark’s Botanicals Age Defying Radiance Cream, $119.

Clarks Botanicals describes this cream as an “instant glow filter” which is perfect for me, seeing as I get absolutely all of my beauty inspiration from Instagram.

This cream is very thick, but a little bit goes a long way when applied. It’s formulated with sea buckthorn, which contains high concentrations of vitamin C (which is SO good for your skin) which works to even tone. An ingredient named Progeline helps firm and tighten skin, reducing sagging and works to contours the jaw line.

Admittedly, my skin isn’t sagging YET, but as I careen into old age, I’m doing everything, ev-ery-thing, to keep my skin in pristine condition. Like, I’m thinking about giving up alcohol to keep my skin looking good for years to come, but I fear that ship has already sailed. Besides, I’m way more photogenic when I’m drunk, which is really what matters. Just look at the photo below. We were CRANKED but it turned out so cute.

And my skin looks glowy and awesome.

Truthfully, every time I talk about all of these skincare benefits, I think about that episode of Hey Arnold when Helga Pataki walks into the girl’s sleepover where they’re all doing facials with cucumbers over their eyes and goes “Why are you guys worrying about wrinkles?? WE’RE NINE YEARS OLD!!!” But I guess my point is, I’m not nine years old, and I’d like to keep my skin looking bomb for as long as possible.

IMPORTANT TO REMEMBER: You should be using sunscreen 24/7, both in the summer and all year round anyway, but especially when you’re using products that contain retinols or other ingredients that speed up cell turn over. New skin looks amazing, but it’s also more sensitive and prone to burning.

Everything I’ve been using for the past couple months has been speeding up skin regeneration and my face currently looks killer, but to protect my skin, I’ve been slathering myself in Chanel sunscreen because I’m psychotic. Whatever it takes, you know? Sunburn is no joke, you guys.

Tell me about your summer skincare regime! What do you take away? What do you add?
