A bath is my favorite thing in the entire world. I cannot live in an apartment without a bathtub; this is not negotiable. I rarely ever take showers, instead preferring to soak for hours in a variety of potions, oils, and fancy soaps. I often take a bottle of Champagne in with me and sing along to the Best of Tammy Wynette. I refer to my tub as my “office.”

I have stress-relief baths, zone-out baths, sexy baths...the list is endless. But why not try an ultra-luxurious, glamorous bath in the vein of old movie stars and glamour girls? I call these variations my “Fancy Feast Persian Cat” baths.

Here are a handful of the products I use when I’m in need of a little primping. They’re a splurge, sure, but winter is harsh. Treat yourself.

Jo Malone Bath Oil In Pomegranate Noir

I love a bath full of moisturizing oils. (Just make sure to clean the tub out afterward so your roommate or boyfriend doesn’t crack their head open.) Jo Malone’s luxurious Pomegranate Noir bath oil is heavily fragranced with a blend of bright pomegranate and pink pepper balanced by lily and wood notes. They use avocado, almond, and jojoba oils to ensure you emerge with soft, touch-me skin. Pro tip: Dab a little behind your ears as perfume.

Jo Malone Travel Candle In Lime Basil & Mandarin

Hello--this is the perfect gift for a friend or hostess. Or do what I do and keep it for yourself. This little powerhouse has 18 hours of burn time, so your bathroom will be scented with the peppery, classic aroma of Lime Basil & Mandarin. The fancy man in your life would be down with it, too.

Estée Lauder Youth Dew Bath Oil

I’ve spoken about my love of grandma-scented Youth Dew before. Joan Crawford totally took baths scented with this rich, heavy, spicy chypre scent. You know she did. And every girl needs to get in touch with her bossy, dramatic Hollywood broad side every once in awhile.

RODIN Bath Bar

Oh, this is absolutely heavenly. I didn’t understand the appeal of fancy, expensive soap until I held one in my hands. RODIN Bath Bar is pure jasmine cut with the orange blossom fragrance of Neroli. It’s glamour in a bar.

Le Labo Body Lotion In Jasmin 17

After bathing with the Bath Bar, give your body an additional jasmine-scented treat with this nutrient-packed lotion from Le Labo. The jasmine scent really clings to your skin all day, so your limbs will smell as feminine and sexy as jasmine itself. Well, they really smell like money. And what’s more glamorous than that?

  • Are you guys as into baths as I am?
  • What are your favorite bath products?
  • And most importantly, what albums do you play while you soak?
