Unless you’re #blessed and were born with flawless skin, you know what it’s like to deal with annoying skin ailments. My main epidermis issue and the bane of my existence (OK, so I’m dramatic) is my easily irritated visage. I’ve dealt with facial redness my entire life due to a skin condition, but it’s a common problem affecting tons of people.

I wish I could say that I’ve found a solid skin care routine that has completely abated my redness, but I haven’t. Sure, there are some products that aid in temporarily diminishing the blotchiness, but I hadn't found a Holy Grail, that is, until I stumbled upon Dermalogica's Redness Relief Primer SPF 20. *Cue a choir of angels singing*

My beloved, well-used tube of miracle product is almost empty! *immediately orders two more tubes*

I honestly can’t sing this product’s praises enough. The primer itself is green in hue--like many redness-reliving products--and has a velvety-soft texture thanks to silicones. It glides over my skin and immediately calms my mug by soothing the visible irritation and evening out my overall complexion. It also provides long-lasting comfort (no, this is not a tampon commercial). I see a notable difference in the longevity of my foundation and the fact that redness never tries to peep through my makeup anymore when I wear this.

I’ve always been the kind of person who never leaves the house sans some type of coverage--until now. On my lazy days, I’ll wear this on its own for a legit no makeup look and not have to worry about looking like a tomato, which is an amazing feeling. The SPF 20 is an added bonus.

So, without further ado, here are my before and after pictures. Also, bear in mind that I was actually having a pretty decent skin day when I took these photos, but even when my skin is in full freak out mode, this miracle product delivers the same results.

If you also suffer from problems with facial redness, I seriously urge you to try this lovely product. I promise you will see a noticeable difference in the appearance of your skin. And I never make promises I can’t keep.
