I Need More Adorable Beauty Products in My Life, Plus COTW!

Life is too short to say no to fun packaging.

I've never been one for cutesy things, and that extends to my taste in beauty products. I'll usually pick the sleek black and gold packaging over anything that's pastel-colored.

That said, I will occasionally fall victim to buying something just because it's so freaking adorable. My reasoning is that if it's under $10 and makes my inner child happy, then why not?

So far, my collection of beauty products with cute packaging is sadly small, but thanks to Tony Moly I feel like it's off to a strong start. I love the Peach Hand Cream because it really does smell like peaches and also really does look like--OK, it looks like a butt, actually. Great conversation starter, this hand cream.

I also love the Petite Bunny Gloss Bar. Yes, it's an adorable bunny; but it also smells yummy, plus it looks and feels great on my lips.

Here's what the Tony Moly Petite Bunny Gloss Bar in Juicy Cherry looks like on me:

It's on the sheer side but very buildable, feels hydrating, and lasts for a surprisingly long time.

I also like that all of the bunnies have their own facial expressions. Mine is extremely unamused.

Other than my Tony Moly products, I also have these mini pastel-colored razors. I found them at Forever 21 and picked them up on a whim. I haven't actually used them yet, but I just know they'll come in handy one day. Shaving those small, awkward areas (your upper lip, your bikini area, your big toe...) suddenly becomes adorable when you're using a tiny pink razor, right?

Now it's time for your Comments of the Week!

1. "Kelly Bee" had some great recommendations for short hair products:

Your hair looks so crazy good!! Sometimes if I'm lazy and sleepy I don't put anything in my hair (like today) and let everyone deal with whatever it is doing. But my hair routine changes based off how how greasy/dull/flat/crazy it is when I wake up. I use Batiste dry shampoo when it's greasy, water with lavender oil if it's crazy, Oscar Blandi texturizing spray if I wake up with helmet head, and for days where I need softness & shine I got a sample of Bumble & Bumble Invisible Oil and it's awesome!

2. Like "StephJK," I am also going to buy the new H&M beauty products for the packaging (I mean, did you not just read my confession about buying products for the packaging?):

Not ashamed to admit that I will be buying some of that H&M stuff for the packaging.

3. Everyone (myself included) loved this cheap and simple DIY balayage tutorial but more importantly, I'm totally with Allison and "Elise M." on missing Daredevil:

This looks amazing!!! Also I just finished daredevil yesterday and I'm kind of dead inside. what do I do without my avocados at law??

4. I think this is what we all really want, "Luce_Cannon" (although for now I'm willing to take Wendy's advice about Korean skincare as gospel):

Exactly! I read what Dita von Teese does, then go out and buy all the products. Then I read about secret Korean skincare regimens and am like, "but I just bought $1000 worth of serums and contour brushes." I just want the clouds to part and God Herself to speak to me from a burning bush about what the final word is on best beauty everythings.
