It's gonna get sappy up in here.
New beauty product launches are always exciting, but affordable drugstore beauty launches are even better. Because you can buy way more product and also load up on a bunch of candy on your way out.
Here's what five of my favorite drugstore brands have coming in 2015.
Milani Fierce Foil Eyeshines And Eyeliners
Milani has been trumpeting the arrival of these new eye products on their Instagram account, describing the eyeshines as having “groundbreaking gloss technology formulated especially for eyes.” I personally love the idea of a gloss eye shadow. I believe there will be four palettes with four shades in each palette. The eyeliners will come in four shimmery shades: Brown Foil, Purple Foil, Black Gold Foil, and Navy Foil. Look for them in January 2015 on the Milani website or at your local CVS or Walmart.
Physicians Formula Argan Wear Ultra Nourishing Argan Oil
Physician’s Formula is rolling out a lot of new products in 2015, but I’m excited for their Argan Wear Ultra Nourishing Argan Oil. I’ve wanted to try Josie Maran’s argan oil for years now, but at $48 for 1.7 ounces, I just couldn’t take the plunge. This is pure argan oil, with no added ingredients or fragrance, and it’s $15 for one ounce. Plus, it comes in an adorable bottle with a dropper. You can find it now on the Physician's Formula site or at CVS, Ulta, Walgreens, Walmart, Target, and most drugstores.
Maybelline Master Prime Primers
I’m not generally one for primers, but I’m intrigued by Maybelline’s new Master Prime Primer in three varieties: Blur + Illuminate, Blur + Redness Control, and Blur + Smooth. It’s the illuminating and anti-redness ones that I really want to try, since dryness and redness are my biggest issues. Plus, the Blur + Illuminate Primer has SPF 30. Yes, please! Find them now at Bed Bath and Beyond, as well as most drugstores and on the Maybelline website in the beginning of 2015.
Revlon Photoready Insta-Fix Makeup
I’m excited to try Revlon’s new stick foundation, which comes in nine shades and includes SPF, although I can’t seem to find the exact amount anywhere (you can see the full list of ingredients here). This would be excellent to keep in your bag for doing your makeup on the way to work or for quick touch-ups during the day. I imagine you could also use it for contouring. The only downside is that--despite a large number of colors--the darkest shade (Camel) is not very dark. Hopefully they’ll expand to include more shades soon. You can find this at most drugstores and mass retailers in the beginning of 2015 for about $12.
Almay Smart Shade Butter Kiss Lipstick
I’ve loved Revlon’s Lip Butters for a long time (and Revlon owns Almay), so you better believe I’ll be first in line to try this. There are twelve shades grouped into three skin tone groups: light, light/medium, and medium. Each skin tone group has a berry, pink, nude and red shade. Intriguing, right? I’ll be trying every color. Find them on Almay's website or at most drugstores for about $6.
