Help Me Celebrate National Lipstick Day!!!

The only holiday I'll gladly celebrate.

Here's one thing you may not know about me: I hate pretty much every holiday, as they get in the way of my very busy social calendar. Don't get me wrong, I'll take any excuse to party, but what irks me most are those holidays that really shouldn't be holidays, like Sweetest Day. Or, I don't know, Arbor Day.

Kidding, you guys know that I have no idea what or when Arbor Day even is.

But one holiday I can get into is National Lipstick Day! Which happens to be today! YAS! I can totally ride for National Lipstick Day, if only to see pictures of all of you hotties wearing your favorite lip colors (HINT: hit me in the comments.)

Uh, here's me:

Beauty is important, and feeling confident is important, and loving yourself is important, and looking hot is very important, and all of those things can come from a great lip color. Don't fight me on that because is an argument you will lose.

Everybody has their favorite beauty product, whenever it's an eyeliner or a blush, but everyone loves a good lip color. Lipstick is one of those transformative things that can feel like so much more than just a beauty product. Maybe it's a security blanket, or a bulletproof vest, or a way to let the world know that today is not the day to cross you. Lipstick can say a lot of things to a lot of people, which is great, because I like to let my products do the talking for me.

As you may be able to tell, I like, more, er, bold lip colors.

I mean, if I'm gonna be that dude wearing lipstick, I might as well own it, you know? My dark lip inspiration is none other than God herself.

See? Below I'm pictured in the NARS Matte Velvet Lip Pencil in Train Bleu, my favorite lip color at the moment.

Or here, wearing Kat Von D's Backstage Bambi.

I think every day should be National Lipstick Day, etc etc. I do, however, think it's a huge let down that we don't, as a nation, have a National Mascara Day. Now if you'll excuse me, I'm off to pen a letter to President Barack Obama about just that.

What lip color are you wearing to celebrate National Lipstick Day? SHOW ME IN THE COMMENTS. What is your favorite lip color right now? Or ever? Show me that, too!

And tweet me your cute lips on Twitter @TynanBuck.
