I was thinking the other day that I haven't had very many occasions to wear a smoky eye lately. Then it occurred to me that I don't really have to have an occasion do I? What? It's Thursday, you say? Smoky eye time!

Warm colors are my jam, so I started out by taking a stiff blending brush and applying a reddish-brown shade all the way through my crease.

With a regular eyeshadow brush, I then applied a matte black shadow all over the lid up to the crease.

In keeping with the warm theme, I used an sunset orange shadow as a transition shade and blended from the crease to just below the brow bone with a fluffy blending brush.

Additionally, I added a matte vanilla shade to my brow bone and a shimmery ivory/champagne shade to the inner corners of my eyes.

After applying foundation and concealer, I lined my eyes completely with a smudge-able black crayon eye liner. With a pencil brush, I took a little of the black shadow I used on the lids and smudged the liner out.

I also took some of the same warm brown shade on a stiff blending brush and smudged that just below the black on the lower lid.

To add some dimension, I took a shimmery blue shadow and added it over the black, just on the center of lids.

I finished the eyes by adding a couple of coats of black mascara and filling in my brows with brow powder.

A little bit of nude blush and nude-brown lipstick finishes the look off.

Here are my favorite looks from last week:
