Inspiration for LOTW comes from many places. Sometimes I’ll see a red carpet look I really love and try to recreate it, sometimes I draw inspiration from nature, and sometimes I just really want to use a specific color.

This week, as I sat down in front of my makeup table, I took stock of what colors I wanted to play with and kept coming back to the shimmery teal shade in my Urban Decay Electric Palette: Fringe.

I started a bit out of my usual order and applied my transition shade (a warm, matte, red-brown shadow) with a fluffy blending brush to the crease.

With a regular shadow brush, I applied Fringe to my mobile lids, layering it a bit so the color would really pop.

On a stiff blending brush, I added some matte black shadow and worked it back and forth into my crease, bringing it down on the outer third of my lid.

I went back in with a little bit more of my transition shade to blend the black out and highlighted my brown bone with a matte white shadow.

After I applied my foundation and concealer, I lined both my upper lash line and my lower waterline with black gel liner.

With a small pointed blending brush I took more of that shimmery teal shadow and blended underneath my lower waterline.

I completed my eyes by adding a pop of lime shadow to the inner corner of my eyes and coated my upper and lower lashes with mascara.

I kept the blush neutral, opting for a warm nude shade, and added a sheer coat of a metallic copper lipstick.

Here are the looks I was loving last week:
