It's not all 10-step contours, people.
I love shimmery and metallic eye shadows best, but a couple of months ago I got my hands on the all matte Tartelette palette and have been playing with entirely matte looks ever since.
Here's how to go all the way matte.
Starting with a base of foundation, concealer, and filled-in eyebrows, I prime my lids with LORAC Behind the Scenes Eye Primer.
With a regular eye shader brush, I sweep a peachy beige shade (Crème Brulée from Makeup Geek) all over my lid, up to just below the brow bone.
Next I use my favorite e.l.f. crease blending brush to apply MAC Folie (a deep chocolate brown with slight purple undertones) to my crease, using windshield wiper motions.
For a seamless blend, I buff a neutral brown shade (Naked from the Naked 1 Palette) all over my eye, up to just below the brow bone, with a fluffy blending brush. The finishing touch is liner applied halfway across the upper lash line and all the way across the lower lash line. I use a pencil brush and matte black shadow for this. Oh, and can't forget the mascara, top and bottom coats!
For the rest of my look I use a matte, soft pink blush (Spellbound from Makeup Geek, my new favorite) and line and fill in my lips with NYX Lip Liner in Mahogany (a deep, warm red brown). BTW, lip liner works really well for a matte lip look if you’re in a pinch!
Now for my favorite part, your LOTWs! Here are my three favorite looks from last week's thread.
