LOTW: A Scarlet Witch Inspired Look

This is really just an excuse for me to use red eyeshadow.

I saw Captain America: Civil War for the first time over the weekend — I specify "for the first time" because I will probably watch it about a million more times — and I immediately knew I wanted to do at least one LOTW inspired by it.

My initial thought was to do a Captain America inspired tutorial, but that feels basically like it would just be a 4th of July tutorial, so pass. I really love Scarlet Witch, though, and I’m interested to see how her character develops over time, so I decided to have her be the muse for this week!

For the rest of the look, I did a little light contouring of my forehead and cheekbones using a cool-toned contour powder, added a shimmery berry blush to my cheeks (Milani Baked Blush in Berry Amore), and added a little extra glow to my face with the Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector (liquid) in Opal.

I had a tough time deciding what to do with the lip color, but eventually I decided I wanted it to match the eyes a bit. I applied a bit of Glossier Balm Dotcom to my lips and then applied some of the burgundy shadow I used earlier all over the lips, concentrating a little extra color to the center.

Here are my favorite looks from last week:

Who is your favorite Avenger? What other superhero inspired looks would you like to see? I'm think I might do T'Challa next, let me know what you think in the comments below or on Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter. Don't forget to tag @xovain and #xoLOTW!
