Quick Question: Are There Any Lipsticks That Actually Look On Your Lips Like The Exact Color They Look In The Tube?

It seems like every lipstick I try looks pink on me, even if it's not pink!

Quick Question, lipsticks, covergirl

I've lamented before that blue-red lipsticks always end up dark-pink on me. It drives me crazy, because all I really want in life is for my lipstick to look on my lips the way it looks in the tube and also a long-term romantic relationship similar to that of Morticia and Gomez Addams. IS THAT SO MUCH TO ASK?

But I really shouldn't hate on just blue-red lipsticks. A lot of other types of shades look pinker on me than I'd expect.

I've been looking for a lilac lipstick, and I was SURE that CoverGirl LipPerfection Lip Color in Divine (330) was IT.

But as you can see, it's purpler in its tube. The difference looks even more dramatic in person, I swear. I'm not just being dramatic about how dramatic the difference is. I still like the color, but it doesn't serve the purpose for which I purchased it.

Perhaps it's the color of my lips combined with the formula's opacity, or maybe it has something to do with my skin's pH, but more often than not, a lipstick's tube color never translates as accurately as I'd like.

So I ask today's Quick Question: Are there any lipsticks that actually look on your lips exactly like color they look in the tube? I'd love to see your recommendations!
