Since I'm a visual person I hardly ever remember the album title but I just remember what the album art looks like.
A few months ago, I happened upon indie makeup brand BH Cosmetics. I love pretty much anything that has to do with the stars and heavens and galaxies, so when I discovered the Galaxy Chic palette, I knew I had to have it.
The colors! The swirly designs! The names! The buttery pigment! 'Twas love at first sight.
Obviously, the next step was to share my findings with you all--and here we are.
I definitely wouldn't call these cream shadows, but with that said, they are more buttery than other powder eyeshadows out there. They're quite pigmented, too, which I must admit surprised me a little bit since this palette only costs $23 and comes with a generous supply of 18 different colors.
The only (minor) downfall is that the shadows do have the tiniest bit of fallout. Nothing major, but something to note when you're working with the product. Fortunately, the fallout can be remedied by tapping the shadow brush to remove excess product before applying. It also helps to have primer on your lid so the shadow has something to stick to.
Another thing to note is that, because some of these are swirly, you won't always get the same exact color every time. That's not necessarily a bad thing. In fact, I kind of like that aspect. Still, something to take into consideration.
Let's get into the tutorial of the look I'm wearing--using our new gallery feature!
And now the finished look…
There are seriously so many possibilities with this palette! Let me know how you like this look and whether you plan to try it. Also, I want to hear about your favorite indie brand products, like, immediately.
