LOTW: My Naturally Radiant Spring Makeup Routine

Glow baby, glow!

A matte finish is typically what I’m after when I’m doing my makeup, but something about the warmer weather makes me want to get my glow on. The problem for me is how to get the look without making my naturally oily skin look greasy.

Here are the colors I'm working with.

When I want a more natural/less matte finish to my makeup, I mix a pump of lightweight gel moisturizer (currently Clinique Dramatically Different Moisturizing Gel) with my foundation and apply it with a damp beautyblender all over my face. This application gives me more coverage but still allows my skin to look like... skin.

Since I tend to be oily through the T-zone I apply a little bit of extra foundation (sans moisturizer) to this area, still using the beautyblender.

For a little brightness, I lightly highlight using a creamy concealer on the areas I want to pull light onto.

I usually set my whole face with powder, but today I’m just setting through the T-zone and under the eyes. For added glow I use a bit of bronzer on my forehead, add some highlight with the Hourglass Ambient Lighting Powder, and brush on my favorite berry shimmery blush.

I swept a pink Champagne shade all over the lid up to the brow bone with a blending brush, adding a touch of regular Champagne shadow on the center of the mobile lid and the inner corners of my eyes.

I finished by lining halfway across my upper lash line with a bronze liner and then lining the rest of the upper lash line and my lower lash line with a gold liner.

The last piece of the puzzle was a light brow fill-in and a sheer wash of pink lip color.

As per usual, you guys slayed me with your looks last week. Here are my faves:

  • How do you get glowing without looking greasy?
  • Are you a fan of softer looks or full on glow-y glam?
