Since I'm a visual person I hardly ever remember the album title but I just remember what the album art looks like.
Right now my Instagram is flooded with New York Fashion Week coverage, and I’m loving every minute of it. Beyond the fashion, I love seeing all of the different makeup looks created for each runway show.
One look that stopped me dead in my tracks was the gorgeous look Pat McGrath created for Diane Von Fürstenberg; specifically the look she created on Kendall Jenner. One look at those gorgeous jewel tones and I knew I had to take a crack at it myself!
After priming my lids, I covered my entire eye with a light beige shadow for an even base tone and then added a cool gray shadow to my crease with a stiff blending brush.
I really wanted the lids to pop so I took a vibrant sky-blue cream shadow and smudged it all over the lid.
Over the top of the cream base, I added on a blue that was slightly more jewel-toned and blended it up into the gray a bit.
Taking a very thin and small angled liner brush and gel liner, I lined all the way across my upper lash line, sticking as close to the lashes as possible.
Before I finished the eyes, I applied my base makeup. I wanted my skin to look especially glowy, so I added an illuminating primer first, especially concentrating on the high points of my cheekbones, above the brows, and the cupid’s bow of my lips, and then topped it with a luminous foundation (applied with a beauty blender). I also went for a more brightening shade of concealer under the eyes.
Next I took the same small angled brush and liner and lined the outer third of my lower lash line (water line included).
With a small tapered blending brush, I applied a golden-green eyeshadow to my lower lash line, blending it up around the inner tear duct area and all the way underneath where I used liner as well.
To soften up that line a bit more, I took the same cool gray shade I used earlier and smudged it, blending it upwards towards where I added the gray initially.
For added dimension, I took a little of that green shade and placed it on the center of the lid and then added just a bit of shimmering ivory shadow to the very edged of the inner tear duct area.
I finished the eyes off by filling in my brows and adding black mascara to my upper and lower lash lines.
The rest of the look is pretty soft, so I just added soft pink blush, concentrating mostly on the cheekbone area for a more angular effect, and applied a soft pink lip color topped with a nude-ish lip gloss.
