And it takes just two shadows!

In my opinion, you can never go wrong with the classic cat eye. I love this liner look and wear it almost every time I wear anything on my eyes.

A couple of months ago, I saw Amber Heard sporting a more dramatic take on this classic look while making her red carpet rounds for the premier of Magic Mike XXL and quickly bookmarked it for future reference.

Here’s my take on the look.

After I primed my lids, I drew a fairly thick cat eye using a matte black liquid liner and an angled liner brush.

Next, I took a stiff blending brush and placed a dark brown shadow in the outer third of my crease, connecting it with the outer edge of my wing.

With a matte black shadow, I went over most of where I had put the brown shadow and really packed it in on the outer third of my lid as well.

Once I got the desired amount of shadow, I sharpened out the shape of wing with a baby wipe. Then, I applied foundation and concealer, added a couple of coats of black mascara and filled in my brows to complete the eyes.

With a matte bronzer, I added a bit of contour to my cheekbones and along the outer edges of my forehead, and then I topped my cheeks with a soft pink blush.

I wanted a pale lip but not one that was super-opaque, so I took a matte pink/lavender lipstick and applied it thickly and then blotted most of it off so as to just get a wash of color.

Here are my favorite looks from you beauties last week:
