Since I'm a visual person I hardly ever remember the album title but I just remember what the album art looks like.
I hate checking bags when I travel, but trying to limit the amount of liquids I bring with me tends to be a pretty tedious task. (I mean, skincare alone, am I right?)
I’m going on a week-long trip for my 30th birthday, so I’ve been going through all of my liquid products and trying to find ways to condense things or find non-liquid versions of things. So instead of liquid foundation, I found a few foundation sticks that are great for travel.
I've been using this foundation quite a bit lately, especially when shooting xoVain articles because I think it photographs so well. The formula is quite heavy, though, so I tend to just add a few swipes here and there close to the center of my face, and blend outward to the rest of my face and down my neck.
What I do like about the heaviness of the coverage is that I can double this stick as a foundation and a concealer, saving me even more space. I do find that I have to use a little extra powder in the T-zone to avoid oiliness, but overall, I really like it.
I’ve written about this dual-ended stick foundation before (one side is foundation, the other is bronzer) and I’m still a fan. I like that this has some options for darker skin tones and I like that it’s a two-for-one kind of deal.
The coverage is moderate, and it’s one of those foundations that I think looks even better as the day wears on. I have to add a little extra powder to my T-zone with this one also.
This foundation is a lot lighter-coverage than the former two but it’s for that reason that I love it for days when I’m planning on doing a more “no-makeup” or “natural” look. It's buildable if you prefer heavier coverage, but it’s thin enough that layering won’t make it look cakey. This one also is quite long-wearing despite the lighter coverage.
I’m a pretty big fan of most NYX products in general, so it’s no surprise to me that this stick is great. It’s about a medium (buildable) coverage that wears pretty well. I do get a little bit of pooling around the underside of my nose by about midday, but it’s nothing that a blotting sheet can’t handle.
