There are vampy lips and blue-red lips, pink lips and natural lips. But what about lips that evoke images of a goddess who has just devoured a bowl of plump and juicy berries? Berry-stained, pinkish-purplish lips that provide the perfect amount of oomph without going into vamp land.

Today I'm wearing six colors that do just that. Each varies slightly in depth of color and cost. I've also included a nice mix of matte, gloss, and cream. VERSATILITY, y'all.

Almay Liquid Lip Balm in Just Plum, $6.50

Talk about a juicy lip! This is such a lovely color, and it goes on easy and even and leaves your lips super glossy and hydrated. I especially love how the color can be built up without feeling too heavy. The lasting power is good, but you will need to reapply every so often.

Urban Decay Revolution Lipstick in Manic, $22

This is one of those easy colors that pairs well with all sorts of makeup looks. It's a fresh, purple-pink hue with a subtle shimmer that makes lips look full and healthy. If you're looking for that perfect wine shade for fall, but don't want to go full vamp, this is a nice happy medium.

CoverGirl Lip Perfection in Everlasting, $7.50

Dupe alert! This is a nearly identical twin to Urban Decay's Manic. I'd say it's a little more on the purple side than the UD product, and it also has a touch more glitter. Like Manic, it's a really vibrant and beautiful color. It would be great even as we transition into all those upcoming winter glam looks.

Yves Saint Laurent Gloss Volupte in Cuir Grenat, $32

Here's another super juicy gloss that has quickly become my fall go-to. And let me tell you, it is an absolute dream to apply. In fact, I've never used an applicator quite as nice as this one. Plus, the formula is so creamy and consistent that it's impossible to do a shoddy application. It looks more berry-pink on your lips than in the bottle, but that's OK with me. This one also has a bit of shimmer, which makes lips appear plump. Bonus: it smells like berries.

Aveda Nourish-Mint Rehydrating Lip Glaze in Mango-Steen, $18

It goes without saying, but this is the deepest berry shade of the bunch by far. I'd call Aveda's Mango-Steen a rich, purple-plum shade with the slightest hint of brown. Like the name implies, it does have a minty quality that feels refreshing on your lips. Because it's so dark, it takes a careful hand to get an even application.

Burt's Bees Lip Crayon in Napa Vineyard, $9

Oh my heavens. I've been coveting this Burt's Bees Lip Crayon in Napa Vineyard for a while and finally got my hands on it a couple weeks ago. It's SO divine. As you can see, it's certainly the reddest color on this list, and it has a sort of matte finish. The coverage is impressive, especially for a $9 pencil, and it lingers on the lips for quite a while.

So there are my six. What are your HG berry lip shades? Do you even like berry lip colors? Because we can totally talk about that, too.
