Oh, don't pretend like you don't have one!
I'm not exactly sure when or how it happened, but it seems the entire online universe is obsessed with greenery right now. Every shot of a "hip" apartment features everything from petite succulents next to potted cacti, up to gigantic birds of paradise next to massive ferns (usually in macramé hangers) and banana leaves.
And hey, I'm totally fine with it. I think the trend is beautiful, and plants make a home more welcoming.
My only issue is that I have a bit of a finicky green thumb. While half my plants thrive beautifully, the other half die off in such slow and pathetic manners that I find myself wracked with guilt over the loss of my poor photosynthesising children.
That's why I was more than happy when I saw Sonia Kashuk's newest spring makeup bags. Her "Palm" print is lushly verdant and comes splashed on a variety of cases (shown here in the Large Train Case but available in a variety of models) to house all of your beloved cosmetics. I truly believe it's the next best thing to having a healthy little potted plant next to your makeup brushes (and a lot less maintenance, to boot).
If you want to take it to the next level, grab the bottles from Sonia's also recently launched White Etheriana Bath And Body Collection. With notes of Sicilian lemon, tulip and violet, you can slather and mist the formulas (also housed in lush green and white packaging) all over your limbs to feel one with the garden world, for less than $20.
Because being a bad plant parent doesn't mean you can't take inspiration from the greener side of things, OK?
