Oh, don't pretend like you don't have one!
Naturally, I was drawn to the gorgeous look at the Creatures of the Wind F/W 2014 show, with a flash of blue under the eyes and a beautiful faux fringe created with a lace braid. Of course I had to try to it myself.
Now you, too, will also be able to impress your friends with this deceptively difficult hairstyle using this little step by step.
Admittedly, this was a bit tricky to do with a tripod and remote, so if the pictures aren't clear, you can also refer to the illustration I drew when I braided the lovely Alyssa's hair.
Comb your hair in front of your face. This is what we're going to be braiding.
Begin to braid the hair into a lace braid, and continue adding one-inch sections of hair as you braid along, dropping the braid down slightly lower at each pass.
Continue adding hair until you reach your ears, then continue braiding all the way down.
Take the end of the braid, wrap around your head and pin in place. Make the braid thicker and messier by pulling it apart with your fingers.
You can braid the rest of your hair for a look more similar to the one on the runway, but I liked the ponytail.
For the flash of blue, makeup artist James Boehmer used NARS Larger Than Life Long-Wear Eyeliner in Khao San Road on the waterline. I used this amazing THE FACESHOP Make Me Star Gel Liner in Sky Fever I got from my favourite online Korean cosmetics shop, SokoGlam. It lasts for ages and at $7, is an absolute steal.
What do you think? Are you down with braid bangs?
