You don't need actual bangs to get these retro pin-up babe bangs.

While I am 100 percent happy with my decision to chop all of my hair off, sometimes I struggle to come up with new ways to style it. After some playing around, I landed on this cute and easy retro pin-up look with curled bangs. Here's how I style the look, and the classic makeup I suggest pairing it with:

Before bedtime, I disperse styling cream throughout my hair, before rolling it up in spiral rollers and hitting the sack.

The roller size and amount of hair you roll around them is entirely up to you. Just make sure to do at least one big section in the front for your “bangs” (real or makeshift). If you’re pressed for time you can use a curler or curling wand, but I don’t like to heat style if I can avoid it.

After unraveling and finger combing your curls, fold the bangs underneath, secure them with a bobby pin, and fan them out over your forehead.

I also added a bow headband, which is hard to see here, and spread the rest of my rolled curls out as evenly as possibly along the crown of my head.

The makeup is pretty straight-forward and ultra-classic. Start with eye shadow primer and then grab shadows in ivory, matte dark brown, and warm light brown.

I used Urban Decay Eye Shadow Primer Potion in Eden because it lays down a nice ivory base. For shadow, I used my Tarte Tartlette Palette, applying the ivory shade (Super Mom) to my lid, the matte dark brown (Multitasker) to my crease, and the warm light brown (dreamer) as my blending shade.

Finish the eyes by lining the tops of your lids in black, with a slight flick, and fattening up your lashes with black mascara.

No throwback look would be complete without a bold red lip, so I used NARS Audacious Lipstick in Charlotte.

Picking three reader looks this week proved to be super difficult (seriously, tears were shed) because you all looked so great! Nevertheless, here they are:

  • What are your favorite throwback looks?
  • Anyone brave enough to rock actual Bettie Page bangs?
