BEAUTY UPGRADE: Benefit "They’re Real" Mascara

There’s a new mascara in my makeup bag.

mascara, Eye lashes, pretty eyes, sexy stares

I’m very promiscuous with my mascara and I’ve tried them all. I used to hoard Maybelline The Falsies, and I still do. But it's better for someone who doesn't take off her eye makeup ever, like Cat and Keith Richards. That stuff causes a little lash loss, for me at least, when it comes to removal time, and since mine are Latisse-enhanced, I'm not trying to lose a single one!

However, I've found a new mascara I love and I'm psyched to share about it. The latest lash offering from Benefit, They’re Real Mascara promises length, lift, volume, saturated pigment and serious staying power, and delivers on all these things.

But what really seals the deal is the wand.

OK, my formal review.

Featuring short, staggered bristles, the body of the brush grabs almost every lash, while the spiky tip targets those along the inner and outer corners of your eyes. That means no more globby clumps of mascara on your outer lashes -- the most important ones in my book. The result? Sexy fanned-out lashes that as “They’re Real” implies, will have people wondering where you got your extensions.

Also, They’re Real holds curl like a waterproof formula without the difficult removal at the end of the day, which is also important. Cat says whatever, that I'm clearly not using a good enough makeup remover (she likes Shu Uemura cleansing face oil for her eyes -- and also for shaving her legs); I use something less oily.

I love how my lashes look, but I want to know what you think. Are you going to try Benefit’s new mascara or do you have something better? Go on, tell me in the comments!
