BACK TO SCHOOL BEAUTY: All the “School Supplies” You Need

Why not treat yo’ self along with me?

This fall is the last time (at least for the foreseeable future) that I’ll be going “back to school.” The great thing about America though, is that I’ll always be able to go back to school shopping! And I plan to. I still like to flip through Seventeen and fantasize about how that new lip gloss could make my cute lab partner notice me this year. (Reality: I haven’t taken a science class since Intro to Astronomy, which I thought was going to be all la-di-da, look at the stars but surprisingly involved a lot of math I don’t know.) Sad as I am that school times are coming to a close for me, I am comforted by the fact that I can go buy a bunch of products and mark them as “school supplies” in my budget one last time. Why not treat yo’ self along with me? Here are my picks:

Benefit How To Look The Best At Everything Kit

This little book is not filled with words, but with complexion-perfecting makeup! Will look very cute next my real books (I have those, promise). The kit includes The POREfessional, which is a standout priming product.

Wet n Wild Saved By The Bell Nail Polishes

Yeah, this is a thing. They’re not available online though, so get thee to the drugstore ($2 each)! My favorites are Nerd Alert: Screech (green) and Pom Pom Kelly (pink), but I’m not going to say I won’t buy them all and paint each nail a different color.

Crest Whitestrips

Step 1: Bleach the shit out of your teeth.

Step 2: Smile blindingly at everyone you meet.

Step 3: Win friends and influence people.

Sephora Creamy Body Wash Caps in Coconut

I really, really wish I had had these for showers after P.E. class. Throw some in your gym bag and never be soap-less again!

Hello Kitty Head of the Class Palette

Am I too old for this? Is anyone too old for this?? The houndstooth print and glasses combo is absolutely slaying me. Officially a book bag essential.

Carol’s Daughter Hair Smoothies

Being a cool girl at school involves two things: drinking trendy smoothies and having great hair. Thank god Carol’s Daughter makes these delicious deep conditioners to accomplish the latter (suitable for a whole range of hair types). The Black Vanilla smells so good.
