What I Do, Job-wise: Communications for a global consulting firm. It's actually way more interesting than it sounds in that sentence. Before I "went corporate" I was a writer and editor for city entertainment and lifestyle magazines, which lead to several appearances on local TV programs, which meant that I finally got to meet our famous local weather man, Larry Sprinkle. YES THAT IS HIS REAL NAME.
What I Do, Fun-wise: Worship "The West Wing" like a religion. Read romance novels (but only the ones where the guy is some kind of hard-edged ex-CIA or Navy SEAL). Perform in the occasional community theatre musical. Make up dialogue and theme songs for my two cats.
My Motto: “Roads? Where we're going we don't need.... roads." - Doc Brown. Best movie ever, and don't you try and tell me otherwise. I will crush you. Also it's a nice little metaphor for being open to the idea that you don't always know where your life is headed. I think.
My Anti-Motto: "You don't know the true meaning of life until you've had a child." - Everyone Who Has Become a Mother. So these first 29 years were meaningless? Well. That's unfortunate.
The First Movie Star I Ever Had A Crush On: Chris O'Donnell, specifically as d'Artagnan in Disney's "The Three Musketeers".
My “celebs to make out with” list: Jason Segel, Robert Downey Jr., Rob Lowe, Chris O'Donnell (I chose that first crush well, 'cause he's still mega hot.)
The Most Played Song On My iTunes: “Hey Julie" by Fountains of Wayne.
Last Book I Read Without Skimming Any Parts: "Is Everyone Hanging Out Without Me" by Mindy Kaling, and, "Stories I Only Tell My Friends," by Rob Lowe. It really was a good year for celebrity biographies.
My Most Worn Item of Clothing: Tie between a pair of Tory Burch chocolate brown crocodile wedges and a pair of L.L. Bean slipper socks.
