Choosing between them is even harder now because I've been trying so hard not to take sides.

My best friend from grade school and my best friend from high school became friends through me, and recently had a friendship-ending fight. The people-pleaser that I am, I tried to mediate but most likely made things worse, of course.  I quickly stopped that ish, but they both say that want nothing more to do with each other.  They both see each other as at fault and neither will apologize.
My boyfriend of 5.5 years and I have been ring shopping and planning to get engaged soon, and I had previously thought of having them both as my maids-of honor as there's no way I could choose between them.  That's clearly out of the question now, and choosing between them is even harder now because I've been trying so hard not to take sides.  What should I do? Not have a maid of honor? Not have a wedding party? Elope?
