I'm hoping reading your guy's experiences will give me some insight and help me support him as well as I can.

My partner's dad has been ill for some time, and according to his doctors he is been moving through the dying process for the last few days. I want to support him in any way I can once his dad passes. We're all in the hospital daze now for god-knows how long, but I know that things will change profoundly once his dad passes away in ways I can't imagine now.
I have absolutely no point of references for the kind of pain a parent's death can cause, and I want to support him the best I can. Have any of you lost a parent as a young adult? Or lost family during the holidays?  Or supported a grieving partner?
I know everyone grieves differently, but I'm hoping reading your guy's experiences will give me some insight and help me support him as well as I can.
How can she be supportive to her partner? Do you have experience with this situation? Let her know in the comments.
