I work for a medium-sized company but in a small department. In all, I interact with about 30 co-workers on a weekly basis, and about 12 every day. I dress in a pretty non-memorable way at work... about 6 months ago I started dressing nicer-- still plain but stopped wearing jeans and started dressing more professional (about half the staff wears jeans/tshirts and half the staff dress more professionally so it wasn't weird for the office, just different for me). Everyone noticed and commented and it made me really uncomfortable. It was all nice stuff, I just didn't like co-workers commenting on the way I looked/dressed.
Now, I want to start wearing make-up to work but I am dreading the comments/questions. What should I do? I've introduced it gently by just wearing foundation and mascara and so far so good but I know once I introduce lipstick it'll be a nightmare. Any ideas here?

How can she deal with these remarks? Should she say something? Let her know in the comments!
