YOU ARE THE ADVICE COLUMNIST: How Can I Help A Hoarder?

I know even if I can help her get her house clean, I can't fix whatever is going on inside.

A close relative of mine has a hoarding problem. It's always been an issue, but recently has gotten much, much worse. I offer to come help her clean, and she wants my help - but it just never seems to get done. When it actually comes down to it, she kind of backs off. She has kids, and this is affecting them greatly. They can't have friends over, don't know how to clean, don't eat regular meals, can't sit at the table, etc. It's depriving them, and her, of a lot. I'm at a loss as to how to really help her. I know even if I can help her get her house clean, I can't fix whatever is going on inside.
I've never dealt with this issue before, nor do I know of anyone else who has. I just want to help her the best that I can, and I'm desperate for advice. I feel like she's almost in denial about just how bad it is.
