Do I realize that all this sounds a little cray cray? Sure, but it's my family's cray cray and I'll defend it with every ounce of good chi I have in me.
Since this gig, I have received emails from the organizers threatening to publicize my "nasty and ungrateful" behavior and start a social media campaign against me.

gangnam style
Millions of people have now watched the Gangnam style video; most have no idea that the song mocks the Gangnam lifestyle: the excessive pursuit of image, good looks, success and affluence.
Although I was Somali and Muslim just like everyone else, it seemed as though everything about me screamed “not from here."
I tried to write something about my new workspace, but it turned into a rumination on September 11 and our changed national culture. I don't know why this surprises me.
